Connie Hall

Connie joins undergroundzero this year with the establishment of its alliance of resident companies.  As a producer, fundraiser, and contributing writer/performer, Connie has helped to create and mount over 25 new plays in New York and abroad.  She is the producing director and a founding member of Conni’s Avant Garde Restaurant, for which she was awarded participation in The Field’s Economic Revitalization for Performing Artists program.  Ensemble creation credits include: Journey to the Ocean (the Foundry Theatre/Rubin Museum); Oph3lia (HERE); and Psyche (Ohio Theatre, NY).  With writer Bob Saietta, she co-created and produced BOX (the Brick, NY). With the International WOW Company, she collaborated on numerous productions, and raised funds for the company’s Thai-U.S. exchange.  She played the title role in Robert Woodruff’s Godard (distant and right) (Ohio Theatre, NY), and produced the re-mount for the Theatre des Amandiers (Nanterre, France, best of festival). Connie served the national theatre sector by fundraising at Theatre Communications Group from 2004-2008, and she is currently on staff at New Dramatists.  She holds an MFA in Acting from Columbia University.
